Herculaneum Amazon Head Remodelled by Laser Technique |

 |
The painted head of an Amazon warrior, discovered in the ruins of Herculaneum in 2006, has recently been scanned by lasers and digitally remodelled to recreate parts of the bust which had been smashed and chipped, and allowing archaeologists a better understanding of the context in which the marble statue would originally have been displayed. full feature link |
